Our Earth, Our Futures

Children taking action for a better future as global citizens.

This new study Our Earth, Our Futures connects researchers,
primary school teachers and children in two countries, the Maldives
and England, to develop an exciting cross-curricular Environmental
Education and Global Citizenship project.

Our Earth, Our Futures is funded by The Maldives National University
and was reviewed and approved by the Research Ethics
Committee of the Maldives National University (approval number
RE/2024/C-6).

How schools are involved

Teachers from schools in the Maldives and Oxfordshire are planning and running classroom projects with a focus on empathy, global citizenship, sustainability and social and environmental justice.
